Small arms is a military term that describes man portable, individual, and crew-served weapon systems, in all calibers up to and including 20 millimeters (.787 inches), used mainly against personnel and lightly armored or unarmored equipment.

US Military small arms (not all in current use):

    • Brown Bess
    • M1 Garand
    • M4 Carbine, M4A1 Carbine
    • M16A1, M16A2, M16A3, M16A4
