accuracy

Accuracy is the measure of the dispersion of impact points of a group of individual projectiles fired at the same point from a given distance. In other words, accuracy is a quantifiable term specifically describing a gun’s ability to consistently place shots where aimed.

This type of accuracy is expressed in terms of minutes of angle (MOA).

As Hornady puts it, the desired goal is “ten bullets in the same hole.” Where that hole is the same diameter as the projectiles.
