A cannon is a large, heavy gun that is typically mounted on wheels. The wheels are commonly used to move the cannon (as in field artillery pieces), or used to absorb recoil (as in shipboard & fortification applications), or used to aim (angle right to left) the cannon (as in some fortification mounted pieces).
